Mock Stream — Privacy Policy
Last updated: 18 June 2026
Mock Stream ("we", "us") provides English exam practice (CEFR Multilevel and IELTS) on the web and in our mobile app. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices. It applies to the Mock Stream mobile app and website.
Information we collect
- Account & identity — when you sign in with Apple, Google, or Telegram we receive your name, email address, and/or Telegram username and ID. If you continue as a guest, we store only the display name you enter, on your device.
- Device identifier — a device ID is used to enforce free-trial limits and deliver push notifications. It is not used for advertising or cross-app tracking.
- Practice content & results — your exam answers, scores, levels/bands, and the date/time of attempts, so you can see your results and progress.
- Audio recordings — for Speaking practice, your microphone audio is recorded on-device and uploaded solely to transcribe and grade your spoken answers. Microphone access is requested only when you start a Speaking task.
- Activation codes — codes you enter to unlock mocks are validated against our servers.
- Notification token — a push token (via Apple/Google push services) so we can send result-ready and new-mock notifications you opt into.
How we use it
- Authenticate you and sync results across your devices.
- Score your answers and generate AI feedback for Writing and Speaking.
- Enforce free-trial and premium/code access.
- Send notifications and optional daily practice reminders (you can turn these off in Settings or your OS).
Service providers we share data with
- Supabase — authentication, database, and file storage (results, reports, audio).
- Apple, Google & Telegram — sign-in providers (only when you choose them).
- AI grading providers (e.g. DeepSeek, OpenAI, and similar), accessed through our secure proxy — your answer text/transcript is sent for scoring and feedback. We do not sell your data.
- Apple Push Notification service / Firebase Cloud Messaging — to deliver notifications.
Data retention & deletion
We keep your account and results until you delete them. You can delete your account and associated data from within the app (Settings → Delete account), or by emailing us at the address below. Deleting your account removes your authentication record and your stored results; backups are purged on our normal cycle.
Children
Mock Stream is intended for exam candidates (generally teenagers and adults preparing for English exams). It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
Your choices
- Use guest mode to avoid creating an account.
- Turn off notifications and reminders in Settings or your device settings.
- Decline microphone access (Speaking practice won't be available without it).
- Delete your account at any time.
